Trips

Caister Academy students are invited to immerse themselves in our wealth of Enrichment opportunities including extracurricular clubs, trips, and visits.

Various residential and day visits are organised throughout the year to either reinforce curriculum areas through activity-based learning or broaden students’ horizons by experiencing something outside of the usual curriculum offer. Recent local trips have included watching performances at the Theatre Royal Norwich, exploring Norwich Cathedral, watching a foreign language film at Cinema City, participating in a performance festival, various careers trips to meet employers and colleges as well as attending various sporting events and participating in sports fixtures. In addition, we have many events in school, such as East Norfolk Sixth Form College working with girls football, the BBC Concert Orchestra working with our musicians and speakers from the world of business and entertainment.  We have overseas residential opportunities, such as a catering trip to Barcelona, a languages tour of Normandy, a geography run trip of Iceland.  In additional, throughout the year there are cross-trust activities where students get to travel to other CET schools across the country to work on joint projects.
